I've been reading that the Chinese ones can be more difficult to fit, so would prefer OEM ones in first instance, however full price new ones are too expensive

Nice, how much did you pay for them and were they easy to fit?

I paid £60 for a 10/10 secondhand set. I read a lot of stuff and videos before purchasing and doing it. Looked tricky and Chinese ones prone to poor fitting. In reality I found taking them off easy, and they just pushed on effortlessly. So no issues.
