E89 aircon issue…help?

I have a 2014 e89 35i and the passenger footwell gets pretty wet when the weather is dry (and has been dry for sometime). Only noticeable after a relatively long drive with aircon being on. For example, drove from Edinburgh to Carlisle with aircon on but not turned right down low…..footwell dry on arrival at Carlisle. Aircon used about the same for return trip and and footwell was noticeably wet when we got home. Had it at the local garage as thought it might be blocked aircon drain….but turns out it’s not blocked (and apparently it’s on the drivers side anyway!)

As doesn’t happen in wet weather I can’t see it being a door seal or broken door card etc. I am pretty sure it is water and there is no smell and it’s not oily. I’m pretty sure it is condensate from the aircon but have no idea what could be causing this on a long journey in dry weather.

Would appreciate any thought of what is behind dashboard in terms of aircon that could be causing this issue.

It’s happened a few times before and I believe it’s the condensate drain that’s blocked / incorrectly routed..should exit out of the car ..you often see it on the garage floor if you’ve used the air con

Condensate is running out of the drain under the car. I have seen another thread where the exit tube from the evaporator pops off (apparently the ‘new’ tube from BMW is an inch longer! I’m guessing this is my issue and some is draining correctly and some draining into passenger footwell! From what I’ve seen it requires a (partial?) dash removal to replace££££
