Have been keeping a low profile on the Forum (and a bit busy) since my 2.5si went in November. Has been replaced with another BM but unfortunately not a Z. However, as John now on the “dark side” (and Gaz) I don’t feel too bad about sharing a couple of photos.

It’s an absolute joy to drive and sounds even better than the 35is (which I still miss) and has been on my tick list of cars for a while having read the reviews. Given there could be a couple of non Z’s at the next NW meet I won’t feel out of place if I can make it.

Nice looking car John. Hope you didn’t throw in the car cover you had off me for the 35is to clinch the sale? I’ll be keen to have a look at it sometime as a Porsche is also on my list! I’ll keep a look out for the next meet.

Now I would like to have a go in that Ian....

I put a depo down on a brand new M2 but bailed as the dealer kept moving the goalposts, and the price!

It was a pre reg at Williams with 12 miles on clock. Williams had 4 with the Long Beach Blue in Manchester. They knew I was interested in one having borrowed one last year. TBH when they rang me they must have been desperate to meet sales numbers prior to Christmas as it was a significant discount on new, run in service included and low APR. Bit of a no brainier really especially when I saw it!

You’d probably get a lot more out of it a lot more than me but I’ve never driven anything like it. A reminder or M cars of the past. If we get to another meet be happy for you to have proper look (and listen).

Still miss the 35is though - as I’m sure John will too!

Enjoy it ,,,!

Did the 35is go as a trade in? It will be interesting to see if it pops up on here!

Yes traded in Ronk, you never get your price but I got a fair deal.

When my 3.0l was traded in I told the used car sales fella that I had a history available file for the new owner - he wasn’t interested in advising the new owner and nor has the new owner contacted me!

Afraid what might be our pride and joy is just another Unit of stock to move on at a profit!
