Hi there, rare colour, well spec’d and you don’t see many about. Re pricing I suggest it’s considerably lower than its on AT at. Your car was discussed on here yesterday and the price was thought to be too high given current prices

https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=87737&start=1605

As a reference the last 11 plate 50k iS that sold on here with a bmw warranty went for just over £16k another one with warranty around the same time around £16k and a 15 plate this week for £17k (this one was cheap!)

Lastly, before your ad gets pulled forum rules specify a price must be named on a for sale ad

This is all imho and happy to remove if you wish

Thanks for the feedback Andy, I must admit I priced the car based on all the other adverts on Autotrader. I am definitely open to offers. It is yellow and we all know how lovely it looks and how rare a yellow 35is with this spec and full BMW service history is. Ill put £20k in the advert to abide by the rules.

Value any feedback your forum gives.

have I missed the location too? thats rather important!

Absolutely beautiful car

Depends how quickly you want to sell it. If you want it gone, then (as Andy said) you may need to reduce your ask. It might help to have more details about how well it's been looked after.

Yours is a very rare colour and it might be a year or two before another yellow 35is comes up for sale, but likewise the person who is determined to have a yellow 35is and will pay a premium is probably quite rare and you might be waiting a long time for him/her to come along.

The current 35is prices on autotrader are unrealistic IMO, with most of them now having been listed for some time.

The thing with something so rare is it's very difficult to know what it's worth. If you're patient I reckon you'll get the £20k.

Still hasn't really sunk in that I own the thing.

Lovely looking car for sale here - if the real price being sought is less than the AT price currently, I wonder if that will get Peter's attention again.

Good luck with the sale!

As said a lot of the AT ads are speculative to say the least, their prices are based on others they have for sale. Your ask is top end for a very specific car and it may sit a while. One word of caution is the longer it sits the more of our short summer is disappearing.

Re your ad, a bit more description and details of history, any work done etc will help because the 35 issues are well known on here and details of any work done may greatly assist your sale.

Lastly, and this is more with the critical and vocal bunch on here (myself definitely included!) I’d give it a wash and re-photograph. Things like dirty wheels don’t reflect greatly of a top of the market pampered car (and before some smart @rse points out yes, I did post pictures of my own dirty wheels for Sars this morning ). I’d also include some more interior shots and some of the history book/paperwork.

Good luck with the sale and it’s definitely a desirable motor for someone looking for a yellow one, you’d be surprised how many don’t have iDrive etc

It’ll sink in when you’re visiting the petrol station more but with a bigger grin on your face :D

It may do but I think Peter’s more attached to the Yellow Peril than he’s fully letting on

Ooof that's a nice looking car.

Is the car still on its original injectors / turbos / valve cover / oil filter housing gasket / water pump / high pressure fuel pump do you know OP?

It has a had a few injectors about 3 years ago, but I haven’t had any issues with anything else.

Just serviced as normal. Replaced the Hall sensors 2 months ago.

Add shocks to that list, and you've nicely summarised what will now be keeping me awake at night

Lovely looking car. Good luck with the sale.

If someone came and knocked on my door tomorrow with a bucket load of cash for mine I would be tempted.

£20K does sound a little on the high side but if your patient you may get it.
