E89 35iS anyone interested before she goes

Time to be sensible as the Mrs retires next week and I cannot justify the Z sitting on the drive for weeks on end.
I would sell the Tucson and keep the Z, only I don't think it will look good towing the new caravan.
I have spoken with Sytner BMW, We buy any car and Sell to Jack and have offers up to 19'850.00
Thought I would see if anyone on the forum that I have followed for nearly a decade is interested.
I am looking for 20'500.00

I ordered and bought the car new from Cooper BMW Reading in March 2016 and am the only owner.
Black Sapphire exterior
Canberra beige Kansas leather
23,600 miles
Fully serviced with next service due March 2022
MOT due March 2022
Optional Extras
19" 326M Alloys
Heated seats and heated steering wheel
Comfort Access (key in pocket)
Comfort Package (parking sensors front/rear, cruise with brake, deflector, folding mirrors)

The private plate will be taken off (new reg is RA16 ZRE) and hope to have the V5C later this week

As with many Z4 owners on the forum, the car has never been through any sort of carwash (mechanical or hand) and I cannot see any swirl marks. There are a few minor stone chips on the bonnet and there is very slight damage on the front bumper right of the plate as you look (see photo). It really is hardly noticeable.

If anyone is interested I will give it a proper final clean, valet the interior and take off the Alloygators which are not in the best of condition (alloys are fine underneath)

Feel free to ask any questions - Thanks for looking

There was a similar spec car discussed, and bought privately by a forum member, last week at £26.5k, there was a queue of people behind him so I think you’re quite light on your price.

The one he bought was on AT for 2 hrs and there was already 2 viewings booked by the time he phoned.

GLWTS

I know it's on the light side, I could hold out for a couple of grand more. It is in my opinion in amazing condition, but I'm not a dealer, cannot offer finance, don't have the mega valetting capabilities, can't give a warranty (although it is still part of the BMW extended warraty program), amongst other dealer benefits. If I sell to "sell to Jack", who have offered 19800, they will really tart it up and put it of for £26k+, accept £1k off that and they will be happy, and the person buying will also be happy. My personal opinion is that it is an honest price and it is a price that I am only offering to forum members. The car is not advertised anywhere else, it goes to a forum member or to Jack - whoever Jack is

Hi TopDMC - I'm on the market for a 35is and just wondering, what audio system you have in the car?

Excellent question, and having had the car for 5 years I should know, but I don’t. It’s what came with the car as standard, something in the back of my mind is telling me “business” or “professional”. The only thing I listen to whilst driving is either 5 live sport/extra, or my cds from the 70s (Deep Purple, Sabbath, Zeppelin). I know that may put you off 😂

Well like you say it was 5 years ago... I can hardly remember what I had for breakfast today

Is there any chance you could have a look at original paperwork (if you still have it). Else could you check how many speakers there are behind the seats, the upgraded systems both have a sub behind each seat.

If MartyB and TopDMC want to exchange the last 7 digits of the cars VIN number privately, then the exact specification of the car (including the audio option fitted) can easily be looked up online.

The VIN can either be grabbed from paperwork, the little panel at the botton of the windscreen near side, or the label in the driver's door jam.

I think this one still works. https://www.mdecoder.com/

If you are looking for the top system that is normally indicated with the speaker grill between the seats above the storage cubby.
The speakers behind the seats just means its not the basic system.

Looked at the invoice and checked the VIN, it is the standard DAB Digital Radio, there are no additional speakers behind the seats. It does have a CD player and my understanding is that it also has an internal memory which I have never used. The sound quality is fine, my only complaint is that the radio does occasionally cut out, depending on reception in certain spots.

Before lockdown I travelled a lot for work, cutting out on DAB is standard... not a problem with your car.

Yes indeed - this comes with the iDrive option, allows you to store music on a small internal hard drive - about 12gb's worth from memory.

I know stubby's are unpopular, but didn't realise one would de-value a car by £5k :o :poke:

Seriously, though. Really nice car at an excellent price; good luck

So that’s the basic audio version system with integrated amp, the 676 option has 11 speakers and the 677 option has 14 speakers, both these have off board amplifiers

The sound quality is fine and the CD plays my YES albums at high volume perfectly...... But! The DAB is rubbish, I think it’s first gen DAB, it keeps cutting out in “black” spots Really annoying 😡

Good price for a nice looking car. At that price the audio system would be the least of my concerns was I in the market. Shouldn't cost that much to upgrade that if really needed.

Good luck but suspect you won't need it.

Mine has the 677 option and I don't even listen to music.
S677 HiFi System Professional DSP.
Maybe I should dust off my old Duran Duran cd's?
