Guys

What do you think re the price on this one.

I fancy trading up after last weeks Zfest, looks a fair price to me?

I think it is a fair price with a good spec and a fantastic colour combo although I would get rid of that awful boot spoiler as the car has great lines and curves and doesn't need that on the boot but of course if you like that please ignore my comments :) I had a 2009 35i in black with red seats and it was a truly amazing car

Cheers Bud, yeah I'm with you on the spoiler but each to his own

Id agree its a fair price for a non private sale
The negatives being questionable choice alloys (18s) & for some Se spec ( not me as I prefer Se steering wheel , rear bumper & softer ride )
For some comparison when I was on the 89 hunt 5-6months back there was a forum guy (Andy) with a black 59 plate 35i with around 26k on 19s that took months to sell at £15500 / £16k
Id say if anything the market was cooling & I would set the target at £16k on the car linked , start with a £15750 & walk away
You can always go back with more but it is a game of chance whether someone else takes it ? If that's the case then the price is definitely fair , if it hangs for weeks & weeks then its pricey

Edited / Haha , we must have read each others minds Andy

Thanks Mr W

I did have a crafty look at yours last weekend

I was thinking of an offer and I'm not keen on the alloys either. I would like to trade in my E85 to save the hassle but I suspect they would offer me nothing for it :(

Might give them a call tomorrow and sound them out as its a bit of a trek.

Cheers.

Seems a reasonable ask for trade to me, it's also got the new style gear shifter which someone must have put on as they did'nt have them in 2009, nice upgrade. No cruise but that might not bother you, also no cargo nets so I doubt it's got comfort access but it has a must have wind deflector. Personally I really like those alloys, 293's I think top of my head, bugger to clean mind, but with non run flats at 18" they'll give a nice ride. Nav a good extra and will attract buyers come time to move it on.

Looks well worth a butchers.

The advert is a bit confusing as it states 2 types of wheel, and it mentions comfort access. How can you tell that it doesn't have the run flats ( showing my ignorance I know)

Sorry misread what you meant. " it will give a good ride with run flats removed" I think is what you were saying :)

Yes sorry Ray I meant comfort pack not access. The wheels it's on are 18's. I meant if you put non run flats on yourself rather than what it's being sold with which you can't tell from just looking.

Cheers Bud, got what you meant after reading it again. That would have been one hell of a spot from just looking at the add LOL :)

Oops I didn't spot the 18" wheels and for me the Z4 has to have 19" wheels and for that reason I would pass on it and I agree with Mr Wilks re price, I sold my 35i not long ago it was on 19" wheels with a great spec and a 2009 plate with around 26k on the clock and I think I got exactly 16k for it so it gives you an idea but I reckon waiting and picking the right one you will get one cheaper than 17k

I hear what you say fellas. I'm in no hurry so can wait for the right one. I might wait to spring, sell mine private and then see what I can find.

For me it has to be 19" alloys on an E89. If you've decided on the move you should sell your lovely E85 privately - it photographs very well

Rare colour 3.0 SE - lovely condition from what I saw, it would be daft to trade her in unless you had to :)

That's a decent specification Z4 to be honest. 35i is obviously a good thing and it has the DCT box which is fantastic. In my totally unbiased opinion it's close to the correct colour too :P

Downsides... It's not an Msport. I think they look better, and were it not the mid to end of summer you'd be able to get one for this budget. If that bothers you it may be worth waiting.

The advert is also wrong... It's Kansas leather, not Milano, and the car didnt come with comfort access from the factory. I doubt it's been retrofitted either, as that'd just be hideously expensive. Also no cruise, if that bothers you.

However, adaptive suspension (makes a big difference in my opinion), pro Nav, parking sensors, heated seats, pro stereo, adaptive high beam assist headlights, DAB... It has an impressive enough spec sheet.

As others have said, £16k is a decent price at this stage of the market. Not Msport but has a healthy options list otherwise.

Here's a link to the full spec if you are interested.
