E89 30i Exhaust options

As in the title, I am exploring options for the E89 exhaust.
I've seen lots of options for the 35i/is but not a huge amount for the 30i.
I've also seen a few discussions and videos of our E85/86 relatives.

I am leaning towards getting the back box removed as I think its a place to start. Has anyone else had this done / seen a video?
I'm also looking into the full systems like that of eisenmann etc. what are peoples thoughts?

Cheers,
M

Hi , I’ve recently put a full eisenmann system on my e89 3.5i they are quite expensive, but I absolutely love it , had an eisenmann back box on my merlot e85 too , as far as I know you can only get full eisenmann system for e89 ( not back box only) not sure if you have seen it but there is a thread below yours on e89 discussion from gwatson titled EISENMANN GROUP BUY . Might be worth you having a look if you decide on n eisenmann, also check the YouTube videos of eisenmann e89 , there’s a few on there , you should be able to find one that makes you smile , if you’re anywhere near Essex I’ll meet you and you can see what you think of the sound on mine before committing to spending that amount of cash

The op has a different car though, it’s not going to sound the same as your 35i :?

They don’t call yo smartbear for nothing rob
Scratch that idea, to be honest I thought the difference between the 3.0 and 3.5 sounds from an eisenmann exhaust would be minimal
But it’s a valid point and could mislead you
Anyway, how’s it all going with the smartbear??
Hope you summer has been bloody better than our Essex summer rob , been pants here :headbang:

This is something I am looking to do some time in the future. How about the Remus?:

Hi, I’m doing ok thanks-slightly cooler here than in the Essex prairie but I’m enjoying my new life as head groundskeeper & car valeter, the twisty lanes around here are great fun :P

As above, I'm trying to setup an Eisenmann group buy.

That said, if it doesn't work out I'll probably take a punt on the Remus at half the price. I'm really not a fan of the tailpipes, I even emailed them asking if they can fit something else but it was a big fat no. That said if I was to remove some of the inner tube by cutting it 3" or 4" back in towards the silencer then I think it would look quite good.

Agree with you about the tailpipes but from what I have read on various post here and elsewhere it seems like a decent system and good sound.
