E89- 23i help needed please

Evening guys

Wondered if you all can help ? Got into the car this morning and after it warmed up and a short drive the engine light came on. I decided to take the car home and the coolant level came up. So got the car home and the light still is not turning off any ideas what this might be. Filled the coolant back up.

Is there anyone local to High Wycombe with a diagnostic reader or carly unit they can help me with ?.. the car seems to run fine

Want to enjoy the nice weather 🙃

Just the engine light only. The AA guy told me he thinks it's a sensor that needs replacing. I got a warranty with the car but I would have to get the car to him which is 40 miles away In Milton Keynes.

Don’t mess around with the car if it’s under warranty, 40 miles isn’t far - take it back & let them sort it out.

Exactly, could cost you fair bit of money to sort out if you don't know exactly which sensor to change

Cheers, do you think it is OK to drive there as it is? The engine management light was code was cleared yesterday by the AA, but it may come back on - on the way.

If you have AA cover surely they can recover the car if you do not think it is safe to drive?

Sounds like the inlet pressure manifold sensor. Common. You can see the part looking at the engine right hand side towards the back - near top. About 4 inches by two!

Measures gas and flow rates. Approx 140 fitted cost from bmw but should be done under warranty if you have one which you will.

Easy.

The light will come back on. Get it sorted by the dealer.
