E89 20i Apple Carplay Retrofit

So im looking to get a e89 soon and ive enquired with several companies about getting Apple Carplay installed. A company down in Nottingham has advised that it can be done, using the link below

Now im not too sure what CIC stands for but he did say that the E89 has it, but further research has brought up E89s with and without the iDrive knob.

I guess my question is, do all E89 Z4s come with CIC(?) or do only those with the iDrive knob have CIC?

This website below seems to suggest all E89s have CIC, if so, is the only difference between the two above having a physical knob and the other having just a storage compartment in its place?

No iDrive knob means no iDrive is fitted, just a standard head unit and no pop-up screen, sat nav etc. CIC is just the version of iDrive that E89's have if it was specced as an option, there have been 3 versions of iDrive since it's original release I believe.

Approx cost was about £670 (Approx due to exchange rates etc, I can link you to the right place!) + £30 for the Carplay dongle (UK eBay). As for fitting, well that's something I can do for you

I’m not in any rush to buy a Z4 till my lease is up in 3 months so I might take you up on the offer then! Just out of curiosity, do you have a link to purchase it? I can’t seem to find one other than the group buy you promoted once before?

It states that it's Android 9, 6 core processor and 4GB ram and running the new ID7 UI (as well as NBT, ID5 and ID6).
It also states that for an extra $25 you can have Carplay built-in, but I'd contact them and get this confirmed first though...
