Exactly this. The last time I was cleaning the rear window I didnt have the engine running and was wondering why the roof was falling slowly back into closed position. Very good to know, and answers the OP's original question. cheersStuartt said:If you take your finger off the button when the rear screen is stacked on top of the main roof and the boot lid is in the upright position, then remove the key from the dash it will stay there all day. this is the actual service position, if you leave the key in then the boot will start to drop.
