Hi

Looking for an E89, engine size minimum of 2.5

Will require

Heated Seats
Bluetooth for Phone
Parking Sensors
Wind Deflector
Good service history and been looked after
Ideally no more than 60k miles as i will be using as my daily drive doing 7-8k miles per year

8k budget, willing to wait for the right car

hopefully my budget is around the ballpark for what i would like
looking on autotrader at some, they all seem about 750-1000 overpriced based on the autotrader price guide for the reg..... maybe as its only June??

Based in South Lincolnshire but willing to travel for the right car

Thanks
Justin

£8k should buy a pretty decent car now. Market was dead long before covid so there'll undoubtedly be some realistic sellers who price to shift their cars

With a pretty strict budget I think the 60k target could be the hurdle you struggle to get over so if you do find something that ticks almost all boxes i wouldn't dither as the used car market seems pretty buoyant right now .
Have you seen this one https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/bmw/z4-roadster/bmw-z-series-e89-z4-sdrive23i-roadster----------2010/10548811

Here's one, a wee bit of travelling involved, hasn't got PDC but it does have bluetooth and well under 60k: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-Z4-sDrive-23i-Grey-2-5-SE-Manual52000-MILES-2009-FBMWSH-EXCELLENT-CONDITION/254625273280?hash=item3b48d955c0:g:QFEAAOSwMThe5h1Q

Mine didn't have Sport seats, got a set of mint ones from a low mileage car for £420 delivered and sold mine for £200, easy upgrade to do. I wouldn't let seats put me off a car.

I have the same outlook with the wheels

I was communicating with this seller Nov last year. Car had 45k on it at that point and was advertised with just having had a full roof service.

Was up £7300 and they were happy to deal at £7K so a deal may be able to be done.

I went for one on here with slightly higher mileage (50k) as it had 296’s M seats and PDC and was a forum car so it had a very visible history which were all more important than the slighter lower mile for me personally

Seems on all the for sale car sites, vehicles are currently overpriced, considering the climate and covid, am looking for a Z4 and so far any bargine are way too far for me to get too and are snapped up. its just a waiting game hopefully prices will become more realistic in the next coming months

I think there has been an expectation that used car prices would drop due to the down turn in the economy due to COVID.

What seems to have happened is due to the lack of new car sales the supply of used cars has become less yet demand is still high so prices of used cars have firmed up.

Was a good feature on Mondays R4 lunchtime programme discussing why used values were holding firm & even rising.
A guy in the industry shifting 3000 cars a year seemed to have it sussed why
1) folks looking for their first car to ditch public transport
2)folks wanting out of Pcp /Hp looking to buy outright which was evident in the number of sub £9k vehicles finding favour.
3) those accepting they won't take foreign holidays & instead upgrading their car or buying a "treat " vehicle evident he said by heading into CV with a surplus stock of VW style campervans & now sold out of them completely
I wouldn't sit back right now & expect any notificable slide in values from desperate sellers.

I quite agree, i had my TTS Convertible for sale at the end of last year, had a few silly offers for it but decided to keep it till the Spring, then COVID hit and slowed things dramatically but as soon as the lockdown eased, i put a new MOT on it and advertised it, i couldnt beleive how much interest there was, i was geting lots of offers, not silly ones but decided to hold out for the price i wanted last year.
Sure enough, 3 days after i advertised it, i had a call, could we come see it in 1 hour, they arrived, looked, poked and prodded, nodded, paid and left...i got £200 less than i asked...from the first contact call to seeing the car drive away was 2 hours...
People are buying the good honest cars to make the most of the fantastic spring and a summer at home in the UK , they have written of plans of holidays...
Mike

Seems to have all the extras you wanted + cruise control and the MOT history looks good. Check the inside of the 326 alloys for cracks and if its on runflat tyres consider changing them. With regards to the price, you don't ask you don't get

As Zed Baron says got most of the things you want, and wheels check and tyre change if Runflats. Nice colour too.

Got something I wish mine had, phone connectivity. My aftermarket options I’m looking at just now are £2/300 min for anything decent. Think that ones got folding mirrors too.

Price....... start at £7.5/7750 knowing you’ve got a bit of wriggle room to go up if need be?

That looks like a good example - Deep Sea Blue looks great, especially on a sunny day!

It also seems to tick all the boxes complete with heated M-Sport seats, MFSW, cruise and even power-fold mirrors.

As I've only had E86s I'm not really up on E89 values, but that doesn't seem dear for a car being sold by a trader.

That looks like a decent example, and the dee sea blue is a nice colour.
Got a good spec, certainly should be achievable at 8k
