Maybe I've missed it, but I'm surprised to have not seen any comments about this article that appeared in a May issue of Autocar...

It seems there's a company in the US that takes an E86 and converts it into a coupe version of a Z8, which they call Oletha.

Price is slightly problematic at £285k or $350k (though if you've got really deep pockets they can swap out the straight six for an E92 M3 V8, uprated to 4.4 litre and 448bhp, for 'only' £365k or $450k)

thats the original thread. it is a pretty car indeed, and would go very nicely indeed with the V8 from an E92 M3 in.

Rather have a Z4M coupe and spend the change on other cars/things.

There is the law of diminishing returns and unless you do a track day every other week when are you ever going to notice the extra power? Therefore it's a lot of money for a fancy body kit.

 clearly I missed it - thought it odd that hadn't appeared on the forum. If my lottery ticket does come in, I think I may go looking for genuine Z8 though - gotta have the soft top.
