New member here.
Had an E85 Sterling Grey 2.2 SE 20yrs ago when they first came out.
Now looking to get a Z4 Coupe for a weekend toy.

Was one of the early members of the z4um forum back in the day, some of you may remember it.
I came across the DVD of a meet we had in 2004 and posted it here: https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=139505

Much prefer forums than those awful Facebook groups.
Founded, created and owned babybmw.net for 18yrs, until last year when I sold it.

Welcome along,20 years thats a fair amount of time to decide to get back into a Zed.
Would be good to hear your thoughts has to how the car feels now compared to what you thought back then

Currently "in talks" with someone about their Coupe with first refusal. Hopefully in the next number of weeks I'll be back in one again.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

None of my Z4s had been made in 2004.

Good luck finding the right E86 - and don't forget we'll need to see some photos!

Currently heading back to Belfast from Glasgow with the below.

Looks good, is that the one from Motherwell? I toyed with going for a nosey as it seemed good value but I was going on holiday.

Enjoy :driving:

Yes it is!!
Has racked up the miles but has had excellent BMW and Indy servicing on a regular basis.
Few “age related” (don’t you hate that phrase) marks on it, but (a) it’s fixable and (b) it’s 17 yrs old!

That looks good, I will get another e85 to play with this year I think. Just need the right one to come along

Excellent, it looked well looked after and he’d put a good few miles on using it as a daily.

Yes to all those points
