Carbon Black Manual 2007 BMW Z4 3.0si Sport Coupe with Piano black interior and heated black leather seats. 76,6k miles
Am sure I will regret this at some point as this has been a great car. Just not really being used at the moment and can’t really justify running 3 vehicles at the moment.

Car is fairly well known on the forum with a lot of work being done by Simon. Simon was going for track beast spec and had fitted Gaz Coilovers and a Drexler Diff. This was slight overkill for me.

I purchased the car in May 2023 year and in my ownership have tamed it somewhat to be a daily driver capable of a few track days a year. Focus was to keep it as civilised on the road as possible but with a decent level of performance/handling on track/fast road. Suspension was changed for Bilstein B6 and the diff was replaced with an open diff with 3.64 ratio from an e86 auto.

Simons original build thread is here - bear in mind changes above: https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=124015

Key points:
Mileage 76,600 miles (may increase slightly)
Water pump and thermostat replaced
Starter motor replaced.
HEL Braided brake lines fitted
Pagid RS29 Pads (surprisingly good on fast road)
Front control arms and links replaced
H&R Anti-Roll kit front and rear
Adjustable drop links
All bushes replaced with superpro
Good Michelin PS4 tyres all round (covered 6k miles)
Bilstein B6 Shocks and Suplex Sport Springs fitted
Both keys present – one is new from BMW about a year ago
Rocker Cover Gasket replaced recently
Vanos seal replaced recently as was leaking slightly
Fresh Diff oil.
Working Aircon
Bluetooth original BMW handsfree works for calls
Bluemusic Bluetooth adapter also fitted to Aux for streaming Spotify music etc
Storm Motorwerks gear knob
Bi xenon lights with Uprated retrofitlabs reflectors - please note left hand high beam does not work. Have tried changing the reflectors and light control module but suspect it is a broken wire. Has passed MOTs like this so actually forgot about the issue. Lights are excellent on low beam setting so has not been an issue.
Car has had 2 services in my ownership and covered around 6000 miles in that time.

**MOT valid till 29 Jan 2026
Car was previously Cat N (Non structural) repaired with minimal damage to a front tie rod and front wing.
Car is by no means a garage queen (although garaged in my and previous ownerships). A few little marks here and there but no rust or scrapes on metalwork. Carbon black which looks a very dark blue rather than black especially in sunshine.
Interior is in good condition with all the usual suspects, ash tray, cup holders, plastics etc. all present and working. Black heated leather with working satnav.

Some service history and receipts present. I have an excel sheet (can send) showing all work done including Cat N purchase which I made the mistake of adding up. (£12,400)
If this wasn’t Cat N it would be a £10k+ car as the mileage is low and key maintenance items have been dealt with (Rocker cover, water pump, Vanos seal, bushes etc.) . With this in mind I’m asking £6,300 or nearest offer. This is the first time I’ve owned a Cat N. Had always been put off before but damage was so minimal and cost no more to insure than normal. I looked at about 8 cars when I found this one and this was by far the best. Drives spot on and is an absolute joy to drive.

I’m in no huge hurry to sell as the insurance and tax is paid up for me till May this year so no silly offers please. I am open to negotiation though. Car is ready to go and needs nothing doing bar the headlight fix which I suspect is a wire somewhere as I have replaced the expensive bits. (as mentioned it has passed 3 MOTS like this and does not throw up an error on dash) Oh and it's missing a windscreen seal but actually looks better without it as the old one was quite perished and the corners had come away. **I HAVE UPDATED PHOTOS WITH SOME TAKEN LAST NIGHT IN LAST POST.
Viewing in Sevenoaks, Kent.

Carbon Black is such a great colour in the sun - GLWTS.

Long time lurker here.

Lovely car, do you have any photos of the interior? Is there any xeon's or cruse control?

Would be my daily driver/only car in time.

Hi, I will try and get some proper interior pics over the weekend. Yes it has Xenons with upgraded internals/reflectors. No Cruise control but I understand that is a fairly easy retrofit.

Can I ask if you replaced all the original boot trim (carpets and plastic) that the previous owner removed?

Yes I replaced the side pieces, lower base as well as all plastics. Only the rear bulkhead bit and upper base I had to carpet some board but looks acceptable. See photos attached. Red marked up bit in photo is not original. Everything else is. Will get some better photos on the weekend.

Now added some photos of boot area in the main post

Feels like a lot of car for the money GLWS 👍
Thanks - Yes I'd say it is. As mentioned not pristine but still passes the look back test! Cabin is a nice place to be with the piano black trim and black leather. Mechanically very sound. The only tricky thing to price is the cat N aspect. It's not bothered me but will never be a super appreciating car. Just a well sorted one and a very capable one at that. Holds its own on track too! Nice enough to be proud of but not so nice that you don't want to drive it :)

I know I will regret selling this...

With permission - Have added Simon’s original build thread link in main description. This shows all of the suspension work, starter motor, water pump replacement etc.

Bear in mind now running an auto ratio 3.64 open diff, bilstein suspension and standard exhaust for more civilized road use:

Sorry - can’t do it. Car no longer for sale. Will have to rethink the daily for now..

Probably the right decision if you had any doubts about parting with it.

2 days after someone paid a deposit on my first one I put a deposit on it's replacement.

That's shame (for me)

I was waiting for weather forecast where it wasn't pissing it down before making a inquiry.

If you change your mind give me a shout.

Some photos taken last night - She still cleans up nice. No broken paint on the metalwork, the odd bumper scuff but a very straight car.

If it helps, I have an ISOfix bracket and can configure a switch to your key. If you can find someone to fit it, it’s not an insurmountable problem.
