E86 Z4 interior trims

Hi Guys

I'm focussing on the interior on my Z4 coupe now.

Has anyone come across companies that sell gloss black trims to replace the ghastly silver dash trims?

Or has anyone had success in wrapping the interior trims?

Many thanks

Chris

There's 2 sets of piano black trims on ebay but I don't think either have the sport button hole. It's possible to cut it out yourself.

Also have a look at carbon leather, there has been nice sets on here recently for sale but I think they sold. There is an example on ebay you can look at but I think it's overpriced but you can send an offer.

Thanks, thats half the problem. A lot of the trims for sale are either in rubbish condition or way over priced for the age of the car. I know people may argue they are rare but I still feel prices are too much.

I'm not a fan of the brushed aluminium either! I'm pretty sure people have wrapped them so they look like Piano Black. Although it must be quite time consuming it's much cheaper than buying a set of replacement trims.

Yes you can wrap them with whatever you like. I also have piano black trim that was originally fitted and two wood trims (plane tree and dark mahogany, I think). PM me if interested.IMG_6323.jpeg

In my previous Z4 I had an aluminium set sprayed black with loads of clearcoat and it looked better than the OEM piano black set I have now. I was actually hoping to get it hydrodipped, but the shop (Wicked Coatings) said a proper spray job would look better and cost about the same (£135 - but it was 2014!).

Try these people:

They do other styles as well.

Carbon weave trim is very nice but also pricey in comparison to piano black and other options.
