E86 Z4 Coupe

Hi All,

I used to be a lurker here years ago when i flirted with the idea of a Z4 but ultimately it never happened. After admiring the coupe for years it feels like now could be the right time to pull the trigger.

Must Have:
Been meticulously maintained with a full documented service history
No current mechanical faults
A lengthy current MOT
Paintwork in very good condition for its age
Less than 80k miles
Manual

Nice to Have
Relatively low owners or at least the last owner owned for a good length of time
Wheels that aren't style 135 or 108

Open to
Modifications that improve the car
Any colour Interior/Exterior

Additionally if anyone has a Z4M that fits the bill i could be persuaded.

Please just drop me a message if you have the sort of car i'm looking for.

Well firstly welcome to the forum.

Coupes are great cars, but then I do seem to be addicted to them.

Whether you want a Sport or could live with an SE I'd definitely want the M-Sport seats that were standard in the Sport, but an option for the SE.
Because used ones seem to sell for around £700/800 so not a cheap retro-fit.

Personally I would be less concerned about mileage, more condition and history. My current 330i has the same N52 engine and it still performs brilliantly after 124K miles.

I can understand why you wouldn't choose 108s or MV2s, but they have to be one of the easiest things to change on a car that ticks all the other boxes.

I'd also add Bi-Xenons to your "Nice to Have" list - the standard Halogens aren't exactly great!

And if you do consider an M just be aware running costs are likely to be at least twice as high as for a 3.0Si. Money well spent IMHO for the soundtrack alone, but maybe not for everyone.

Anyway good luck finding the right one.

Here is immaculate one -> https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=146177

only wheels are 108, but you could replace. What is your budget for car ?

Sorry I should have been more clear with my first post!

I want a Sport model and would be willing to compromise on wheels for the right car with a view to changing them.

I hadn't even realised you could get non-xenon so I definitely want those.

I've not long sold my M2 that I owned for 3.5 years so I'm looking for something relatively well kept and special feeling but probably not an M coupe having thought about it.

If the six cylinder sound track isn’t enough for you, then you might like to add one of the 10-speaker options to your “wanted” list. The basic 6-speaker hi-fi is pants.

Unless you change your mind about a manual, as my auto is in the classifieds.

If not, happy hunting. It's half the fun. :D
