Good morning all.

I'm on the lookout for a Z4 Coupe 3.0 Sport. I've steadily narrowed down my preferences and missed 1 or 2 that would have fitted the bill nicely so trying here to catch the right one before it perhaps goes on the open market for general sale.

It's probably easier if I list things I don't want so cars can be easily eliminated, apologies for the abruptness but it saves my time and yours. :)

No...Montego Blue or Silver.
No...Black or Beige leather (Black/blue two tone is ok, as well as Ivory or mustard).
No...Vehicles over 85k miles.
No...SE spec.

Anything else will be considered, I really like a contrast between outside and in. My favourite is Grey outside and Red inside.
Manual is preferred by auto not a deal breaker.
If you have CSL's I'm really interested.
FSH a must with a nice stack of bills showing any work carried out preferred.
Budget is max £9k.

I'm based in the North West and look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks

You can all stop rushing toward me with your cars for sale now....

Pick up my new car today and I'm up early with anticipation.

No doubt pics will follow.

Great news!

If you go in to edit your original post you can change it from "Wanted" to No Longer Wanted- it just helps people looking.

Well it stops people getting their hopes up!

Anyway, where are those photos?

Wowsers!

There are some, watching this - 'as was' Wanted Ad, with trepidation :?
:worthless:

Come on OP, share the images? :driving:

Hopefully this will work:

Paid less than £9k, has FSH and 83,500 miles. Monaco blue, Caramel leather, Piano black and Manual.

Nice!

Don't see many in that colour! Looks very clean. Enjoy!

A few more pics I took this morning :-) - hopefully this link works.

Very pleased with the car, new discs and pads going on this week and considering new wheels also (thinking either CSL reps or 230's).
Has the usual driver seat bolster wear so going to try and refurb myself before potentially getting a professional to do it.
Stubby ordered as well as a bluetooth dongle for music streaming.

CSL's seem a popular choice, I think I will get some when I am needing new tyres (and I shall get my 108's refurbed after that). I think I will get them in 18's not 19's.

There is a thread with some pictures on here:

I have changed my front callipers (and painted), pads and discs this weekend.

All the torque specs can be found here is you are doing them yourself.
https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e86-z4-3.0si-cou/repair-manuals/34-brakes/

Seeing the non contact parts on your back brake disc's being painted has tipped me over the edge- I think I will paint mine silver. They had light rust on them which I wire bushed off over the weekend- but it's only going to come back if untreated.

The rust is very unsightly and was always going to be my 1st action to rectify.
The disc bells have been painted as well and I think it looks poor, the previous owner seemingly just slapped on the paint over the rust in an attempt to cover it up and short term beautify, the colour is not to my taste and I'll likely repaint the calipers if they don't clean up nicely.
I've gone down the MTEC route for both front and rear discs and they do a black finish that 'should' stay fresh for a long time, we shall see.

Thanks for the Torque Specs - very helpful

Sorry "disc bells" were the words I was looking for- mine were a bit rusty and have cleaned them now but will paint silver long terms as they let down the look of the car.

It wouldn't have been my choice to paint the bell's yellow- looks a little unnatural. I went for red with my callipers- get a wire brush attachment for your drill and a mask and go to town.

*Edit. I just realised you had bought your brakes already.

That's an unusual colour combination, but it looks great.

And you're getting stuck in already doing the brakes.

You mention you're thinking of 18" CSL Reps or 230s, but 230s are 19s!

I managed to find a set of 295s for my previous Coupe which look just the same as 230s but are 18s. I really liked them, and never saw another Coupe on them - it was good to be different (and they were really easy to clean)!
