E86 with 224's

My coupe has continentals on at the moment (rears are gone and fronts are 75% gone) but am looking at changing all four.

I want to stick with the standard sizes 255/40/18 and 225/45/18 and with a one brand tyre.

The P zero was my first choice but my local national tyres dont do the P zero in a 225!

Searched too long now so Help with options/ deals and fitment all appreciated.
 
Which P-Zero (PZ3, PZ4, Nero, Nero GT, Rosso, Corsa System) are you after? It's like asking about a Goodyear F1 or a Michelin Pilot...without the exact model it's hard to say what your alternatives are.

Your local place might not do them, but they're available online, so if your heart is set on Pirelli either go elsewhere or buy them online and get them fitted locally.

Otherwise consider Goodyear F1 Supersport or Michelin PS4 (don't think the PS4S is coming in standard Z4M sizes, and the Michelin Supersport is getting expensive).

From what I've read, the Goodyear edges it though, and is what I'll be swapping to from Michelin Supersports...if I ever get my car back :P

The Goodyear is also about 20% cheaper than the Michelin.
 
If you are not an out and out track type guy these all score very well..maybe better suited to real world hooning in an E85 class car..IMHO

The usual battle for the last two years is Continental Premium / Sports Contact, Goodyear Asymmetic 5 and Michelin Pilot Sport..

With usually GY and Conti just in front..

When I was involved in racing... there was a clear leader.. the R888 for class wins.

On a road car it has to be said its a bleedin minefield :D . The P zero is listed as that only. (if ordered what do you get!.. there is a P zero std im thinking!)

Ive looked at a 'black circle site' and the standard sizes are available for the 224's (f1's and p zeros) and can be fitted locally. (phew)

A quality product is all that is required for the road.

All done for under £650 on both brands. any discounts floating around?

Ignore the pattern in pic , the PZ4 is the latest Pirelli & has a different tread , its also a top performer , i currently have a set om my own E86 & they are mighty impressive in all departments .

Is the PZ4 a run-flat tyre?

The terminology sounds like it but they dont use the words 'run flat' anymore. You never forget how bad run flats are even if the technology has evolved.

No they are available non runflat.
Is your E86 a Si or M?
