Yeah, I assumed non genuine until I met the seller when he changed his mind!

Any other thoughts? Still on the fence but this one ticks all the boxes apart from the small mark and any potential alloy issues. The reluctance to negotiate is also an annoyance!

Top drawer for a non warranted car with a ding & needing £400/£450 of rubber .
No mention of when next service or which one it is ?
Are the discs original ? If not they should be looking pretty fresh with minimal lippage
Its nice but imo not £12500 nice ,
If its what you want leave £11750 ( & that's still £1k too much imo ) & tell him that's the most you will pay due to the car requiring some spend on it

Last service was at 43k miles (10k miles ago)

Seller is going to change oil etc. before shifting it

The "ding" is more of a small "scuff" I think really - it appears white and looks like that part of the car has clipped against something. I can't recall if the metal was dented in much (like I said its a very minor mark you can just about see if you zoom in on the "side on" pic) but as it is showing white, it would need paint.

I know the price is high, I'm not too bothered if I end up overpaying for what I want. I'd rather pay too much for the right one than the right amount for one that was not quite what I wanted if it came to that.

With the mileage I'm looking for there aren't too many options about! I'll be putting up to 15k on it a year and I've only bought 2 cars in 9 years so the chances are I will hang onto it for a while, I would prefer the mileage not to reach a crazy number in this time.

Thanks

I know what you mean, I definitely overpaid for mine - but it was the right car for me and so far hasn't let me down.

Being realistic. If I purchased this car tomorrow at that price, then listed it for sale the day after I would certainly lose money. If I keep it for 3 years that becomes less of a concern...

The scuff - hopefully can be sorted at a bodyshop. I think I'll push harder on tyres. They aren't great

Another question from me I'm afraid!

The car I drove yesterday has storage behind the seats, as per the picture below. There are two speaker grilles above these.

Per the FAQ, this indicates the car has the basic audio system - is this correct?

Quick update -

I'm ready to collect one this weekend now. I have one last outstanding point. Seller has paid for an oil change that wasn't yet due and has documented this in the service history. There is no stamp - I don't know yet whether he got an invoice. Is this a cause for concern? I believe the service indicator countdown has also now been reset.

Any thoughts?

An interim oil change is a bonus - many BM owners do them as a matter of course.

But if there is no stamp in the book I would definitely want an invoice - without either you have no evidence it was ever done!

Still I bet you can't wait for the weekend! :driving:

Oh, nearly forgot, on this forum that means photos by Monday at the latest!

If he's reset the service indicator, I'd want a stamp in the book. I have interim oil changes done on mine, but I don't get the service indicator reset. The extra oil changes are for my peace of mind and I have the invoices with date and mileage recorded, but I don't want them to disrupt the service schedule.

Ok - I think it's now stamped by an independent so no longer a problem (I appreciate an independent isn't always the best option)

It's low mileage for age so I think it has had more services than it actually needs.

I think I will run for a few thousand miles, get an inspection I or II done (II if one not done already, can't remember), reset the service computer to reflect this and then service inline with the computer

Does that sound sensible?

Great news!

When you do stop driving it you know we like photos on here!

Coming soon when I can get some good ones in the light! I have one below from my first fuel stop

I have couple of questions from the time I have spent with it so far -

1) Is there a way of showing the "volume level" as a number on the digital display of the business stereo?
2) Is there a way of muting audio without switching off the head unit using the dial?
3) How do I reset the MPG calculator (not sure I want to know what MPG I have been getting!!) mine is stuck on 32.4

Cheers! Thanks for all the help before purchasing too!
