E86 valuation advice

Hi guys, not posted on here in a while but I'm after a few opinions on the price of my car. Sadly only two seats is becoming too much of an inconvenience as a daily so I have an M135i on order. I'll be advertising my zed after Xmas but struggling to price it..

Details:
E86 3.0si auto
91k miles
FSH main dealer + specialist
Getting it serviced this week so will be ~15k to next inspection 1
MOT Oct 2014
4 matching falken 453 6mm all round
Heated leather
Factory sat nav
I'm 3rd owner.

Work done in past year
New wishbones + lower ball joints
New rear wishbone bushes
Hunter tracking
4 new tyres
Bosch wipers

Anything needed I've sorted which is why I'm a bit sad its got to go as I've really loved it :(


The problem I'm having is there aren't many around to compare either milage or transmission. Would ballpark 9-10k private sale asking price be reasonable?

What year is it Chris?

High mileage AUC cars are starting to sell are around the £10k mark (poor spec) so you might be best advertising it for 9k given yours has ok spec.

Have you checked what we buy any car will offer?

Car/trim colour + wheel style can be a big factor in value & saleability ?
Otherwise car reads very similar to my own which i sold earlier this year .
If 56/07 start at £9500 but expect around £9k maybe a bit under ?? 8) Jan not ideal for selling sports cars
 
I realised when I went to bed I forgot to put age and colour etc :)

It's a 2007 car, I've check WBAC, but not really sure what to make of their offers, my previous car (an A3) they offered £2.5k when they were on autotrader at around £7k from dealers and £6k private - I ended up selling it to a family member for £5k.

This will be the first time I'm leasing a car so no part-ex available. Will try and private sell first, then failing that I'll ring round a few local dealers see if they want to buy it - I assume they will pay around the book part-ex price anyway?

I'd try what others have said, list at £9.5k and see where it gets you.

Despite having fantastic engines high mileage >70k examples tend to put off buyers, when so many lower mileage <50k examples are available.

I think a selling price of £8.5k would be fair (based on the limited information, i.e. no full spec list, of service history etc).
 
It is annoying that people are still put off by miles, especially on cars like this. It know it's a massive cliche, but I highly doubt anyone would be able to guess the mileage from driving it. But like you say, joe public gets scared away by 60/70k+ miles sadly :(

I agree mate , sold mine on 91k & it drove & sounded great with very little wear in cabin ,
Mileage to me is not an issue with correct servicing but it does hammer values i,m afraid

Sadly true, you can get a real bargain buying a decent car with higher miles but it only really pays if you keep it a long time, else you end up selling at a proportionally cheaper price.

Thanks for the good wishes, I'll pop it up for sale on here before opening it to the masses on PH and auto trader :)
