E86 to E85

Hi all,

I previously had an E86, and before I knew it I'd fixed the issues it had and passed it on due to unforeseen circumstances, so only a couple of months with her really (the longest drive I had was the one coming back from Bristol ffs) but she was reallocated into a very capable pair of hands who is well known on the forum.

I'm now looking to come back shortly, this time with an E85 which is typical during the worst summer I can recall for a long time. Will have pictures up this time though and hopefully a couple thousand miles before I likely end up back in another coupe.

Bearing this in mind, any plans for a summer drive/meet up north? I'm based in York and I know there's a good number of you up here.

There’s lots of meets up this way, not really advertised on here but go on FB and there are lots of Z4 groups. Have a look at Yorkshire Z4 Owners Club and look on the events tab.

Welcome back to Z4 ownership.

As I've only ever wanted Coupes I've stuck to Coupe ownership. While I can see the appeal of a Roadster, it has no appeal to me!

It just depends what you prefer - although from what you have said it looks like maybe you prefer Coupes.

I think it’s more about what’s available and when good examples show up or well cared ones. I’ve never been in a roadster so maybe I’ll fall in love, but I’m also going from auto to manual as well so it’s quite a change. But yeah long term the coupe is way more practical, I’d like to think at some point in the future I could justify both 👀
