It is now time to sell my much loved workhorse. I have owned the car for 10 years and can't bring myself to pile more miles on her now that I have to imminently go back to commuting and especially now that Yeovil will be on my rosta. During lockdown I have been able to get some of the jobs done that have let car down culminating in a full professional machine polish (in a unit, not some bloke with a Halfords DA under a gazebo btw). The car is running faultlessly and now looks fantastic and I hope someone gets to see it before I have to put more miles on it.

The car has been maintained by my local indy Brystone at the recommended intervals.
It currently has 134,594 miles on the clock and is MOT's until the end of Jan.
The next service (Insp1) is due in 10,000 miles. I have PDFs ready to go for most of the recent work.

4 previous owners inc me. I bought it from a dealer with about 20k on the clock.

Happy to answer any questions please PM me if you are interested, I'll post any negotiation up on the forum as per the rules. I am based in Southampton.

Bodywork
• Paintwork decontaminated an any small scratches removed following machine polish. The paintwork is in generally good condition for a car of this age.
• The bonnet has a few stone chips
• The front bumper was recently scraped in a car park (2018). Thankfully just plastic damage so was resprayed easily. There are a few stone chips to the paintwork.
• No other accident damage or resprayed areas
• One stone chip on the drivers side front wing ideally needs paint work to remove
• The C-pillar has a scratch that can catch the eye and will need paint work to remove
• PDC on the rear
• MV2 18" alloys, recently powder coated in gun metal grey for a more modern look.
• 2x new rear tyres. Front tyres have about 10k on them.
• The drivers side wing mirror has got replacement glass installed. Heated but not chromatic. Plus a few stone chips on the paintwork surround. I still have the original black plastic surround for the glass.
• New 3rd brake light
• The rubbers and black trim have been ceramic coated, so will look good for 2-3 years.
Interior
• Pretty good for this age of car, no obvious marks
• Carpets (still original) in decent condition
• MFSW
• Black leather (VOLLLEDER NEW ENGLANDSCHWARZ (LBSW)) Electric memory, heathed M-Sport seats
• Drivers seat recently repaired using cable ties as it had started to sag. Local seat trimmer advised the foam was still OK and nothing had broken so had to use this workaround. If I hadn't told you, you wouldn't know.
• The plastic door sill strip ideally needs replacing
• It is phone prepped via blutooth, which works for taking calls.

Mechanicals
• New battery this year
• 6x new ignition coils (2018) - this resolved an annoying intermittent fault the car had since not long after I bought it where the engine light would come on for a day or so then go off. The car would raise revs slightly and then settle down. Since the work was done in 2018 it hasn't happened.
• New rear coil springs (2018)
• Water pump replaced at around 130k
• Suspension front lower control arms replaced this year.
• Drivers window replaced (2021) due to scratches (Passengers side still has a few)
• Coolant leak fixed (cracked header tank replaced Aug 2021)
• Engine runs well. Have noticed that when the weather is cold and the car has been stood for a day or two the HVAs tick but that goes once it has warmed up.

I think that is the limit on pictures, so let me know if you want to see a few more.

Can't be many owners who have put 114k on their cars and still kept it in such good nick.
Must just about be run in by now.
GLWTS.

Hmmm, wonder if it'll end up in Lincoln??

I had my previous car from new - E46 325ti. Px'd it for the Coupe with 110k on the clock. That engine (M54?) could have gone on for another 100k easily. BMW straight sixes are super smooth & reliable! My next car will likely be a rattly four pot with a turbo and I feel a bit sad about that.
After nearly 400 views without even a GLWTS I was concerned I had angered the forum gods with a toppy asking price :poke: but I am grateful for the comments as I am really pleased with how the paintwork came up after the detailer worked his magic.

Decided to drop the price to £7,600 as I have had a bit of interest but no viewings so far. Hopefully I can avoid adding too many more miles before September but I intend to enjoy them when I do! Also, I had a few more pics to share.

Just tried to drop you a PM, but not sure if being a new member is stopping me. Please give me a PM if you can, just to chat about a couple of things.

You need to have made 3 posts before you can send PMs, so you could just make a couple more random ones!

Just noticed it has got ISO-Fix as well.

How can you tell that?

Second switch on the console to turn the airbag off??

Airbag switch is on the side panel as you open the door. I thought all coupes had this. Isn’t iso-fix a child seat fixing system?

On this airbag switch on the console. My understanding is that when that’s there it’s linked to the iOS fix option. But happy to stand corrected

Not a picture from this specific car because there isn’t a clear one but this is the same set up

I never knew that, thanks for explaining

Now sold through Autotrader. The new owner will look after it and I expect will throw some paint at it which will increase its desireability even more. Thanks to everyone who has been in contact from the forum - even the ones who called me fat :poke:
if you are interested I have gone in a completely different direction and am now leasing an electric mini :)

I nearly did exactly the same after selling mine but the Mini's range put me off. Although it was my first choice a real world 100 mile range is too low for me so I went for an e-208 instead. No complaints so far.
