E86 tints query

Has anyone tinted the rear on an E86? Did you have any problems with the dot matrix and what level of tint did you go for? I'm after a factory look.

Cheers csl1973. That looks great. When you say 35% I presume that is 35% light transmission i.e. 65% tint? A local tinting place is recommending 80% but I feel that will be too dark. Especially since I'm not having the fronts done.

Any recommendations for car tinting, Milton Keynes area?
 
I done all the windows in my old e86,not sure about the tint level,wasn't too dark so I didn't get pulled for the fronts. bmwz4019_zpsb953b38f.jpg
 
KERMIT1970 that looks sweet! I think it looks so much better when you do the fronts too plus you get the heat reduction benefits. However I want to stay on the right side of the law. On a separate note was that car lowered? Debating whether to change my wheels (stay 18s) but not sure how it would look on stock suspension.
 
Raj the tints were very slightly darker than legal you would never notice,I don't like the van look with just the rears done. It was lowered on eibach springs with 18" csl's. Car drove far better on 18's.
 
Thanks mate. I had a motor tinted all round some years ago and all was good. The tinting companies I've spoke too so far are not recommending it and I'm not sure if these particular ones would even do it. I get the feeling the law has or is about to tighten up on tints. Plus wouldn't it invalidate my insurance? :(
