e86 third brake light

Hi everyone

Tried searching But can't find the answer

I have an e86 and need to replace my third brake light

On eBay it says e85 but then age 2003 to 2008

Might be a silly question but is there a difference on the third brake light between the 2 models

Just want to be 100% sure before buying

Hi Klieve1 give sopers of Lincoln a call. They have most parts and will tell you which one it is. I've just replaced mine on my e85. And forum members get discount price
 
E85 roadster is very short ; e86 coupé is very long. They're totally different. As said, give Sopers Lincoln a call, ask for Mark in Parts, you should get about a 10% discount if you mention the forum.

I live like 2 minutes from there, I just heard that it can be expensive from the main dealers and was gonna do myself

Will give them a call and find out, but does anyone know any sources to purchase the e86 version from? As I can't find it anywhere

I think it's one of those things you can only get from a dealer new... Though you could try breakers in case there's a trashed coupé. Lots of sites on the 'net, like quarry motors.
 
If you put e86 third brake light into eBay a few come up... But they all appear to be overseas, and quite pricey. Worth saying, a red one for the roadster from a dealer is about £60 IIRC - the coupé one is bigger and more expensive :cry:
 
Ah right maybe I read about it being fitted then

If its 60 quid or so then that's fine, will go in to sopers next week
