Reminds me of how we used to dispose of highly pressurised 1600W Xenon projection cinema lamps, pre digital days when they had exceeded their specified lifetime of 2500 hours.Penelope said:

And then drop the bag.

thanks I’m getting somewhere but £215 quite a hit for what it is , at least I know the cost I’m first going to check with my paint shop to see what he can do / charge and decide as I have a couple of small other jobs to see him forJK0202 said:Some on ebay for the same price though
I bought a kit from BMW just bear in mind the covers had an update mid way through the cycle and if you have na early car mine is an 06 the buttons have a slightly different finish... can replace the buttons too but I think they are rather expensive.
Haven't fitted mine yet because it looked silly and my button surrounds are warn too. Stupidly thought the button surrounds would be supplied too especially for the price but you physically have to replace the buttons.

Yeah not cheap and definitely money you'd rather spend elsewhere. I've got fractures on the trim around the buttons so I don't think I have much choice. Always staring back at me and my OCD is not helping! :?

Exactly. I can vouch for Royals work as well by the way. They did an alcantara wheel for me on my old M3. brilliant quality.
If you find a cheaper alternative to those wheel trims please do share as well! I'll hold off for now. Got inspection 2 service lined up first...
Yeah now ive learned actually spoke covers as originally thought was metal i guess just way painted etc so i will be looking for them now and i will share if source better price. Ive emailed Royals asking if send the new trims if will effectively just send me back all fitted and ready to go on my car, i had it in my head the quote from Royals would be £400\£500 so surprised £200 so although a hit £215 for plastics so small im kinda still in bracket i was expecting just for trim so in a round about way getting brand new wheel for £415JK0202 said:

happy days!Now to arrange with Royals to get the wheel re-trimmed and great upgrade interior, all the things i bought not in a critical state haha but couple dings here and there and 15yrs old so 20% off refresh interior as planning keeping my e86 forever!
