Maybe once a new or used wing is sorted, just slap on loads of hammerite or something on the inside to prevent it in the future???
If we know where the issue stems from, then we know where to focus attention on.
I’m always looking out for used wings, but the more I think about it, it might be better to just take the hit on new ones.
I’m assuming new ones are still available, if a price has been quoted here??

EDIT: The E86 Coupe wing seems to be cheaper than the roadster? £475 inc vat https://www.sytnerstevenagebmwparts.co.uk/p/132046929/41003427223.html
