I’m looking to renew the rear roundel on the coupe.
It’s the badging that is inset to the boot release.

Part no. 51147057794
Piece no3 in the below

The official price seems really steep and right now I’m refusing to pay it!!
Has anyone bought “cheaper” ones that they recommend??

Thanks

The cheaper ones around £15 to £20 off ebay tend to discolour over a couple of years, whilst the OEM don't. That's what I've found. I have an OEM badge which I took off my E86, only a few months old, but no sticker £20 posted.

What’s the sticker part?
I thought it was a circular item with 3m tape on the back and that was it?

I managed to fit a cheap 50th anniversary badge on mine so if I remember correctly any badge that has the right diameter and uses double sided tape can go. I had to cut two prongs from the car but that it easily done

The ONLY difference between a £50 BMW plastic badge and a £10 eBay badge is the price IME.
BMW don't make their own badges; they haven't got a little workshop with an injection moulder and two blokes churning out badges and finishing them with gilt edges. They buy them from Chinese factories, same as those selling on eBay do. Just give them a "part number" and mark them up at 500% by the time us idiots buy them.

As long as they are not 'shaped', ie convex, then it can be tricky with cheap ones as they tend not to fit very well (or you can't get them).

If flat, cheapos every day of the week.

yes it is but, I took it off my car, so no tape left, but you can stick it on rear very easily with 3M.
