E86 Possible Misfire

No engine lights on.
Engine flutters a bit when idling, has been doing it a while and always assumed a possible vacuum leak, but this morning the revs were fluctuating a bit more than normal.
Scanned the car and it said Misfire on Cyl 6. This is the first time that a scan has produced such a code.
I'm going to swap the coil pack with another to see if the problem moves, but am also trying to research injectors.

Found the injector part number (13537531634), but they seem to vary in price.
Any recommendations as to brand?
Also, is it okay to just swap out one injector instead of all 6?

I’ve noticed a small fluctuation on idle in my e86 but only when cold. I have replaced the sparkplugs and drspite them being old, I have not noticed any change. I will also replace the coils as the ones installed are of unknown age, will get some OE Delphi coils.
Injectors probably could do with a clean. But before that I’d check them to see how the injector correction looks like in a diagnostic tool.

New spark plugs were put it last year, so would like to hope they are not at fault. Can’t say when or if the coil packs were ever changed.

Can you explain a bit more on “injector correction“?

Those are the coil packs being referred to. I’m talking about the actual injectors.

Hoping I’m not tempting fate here…..I swapped cylinder 1 coil packs and cylinder 6 coil pack.
Fired up the engine, scanned and now no codes appear and the engine has been idling for the last 20mins perfectly. Just sitting there purring away.
Makes me wonder if the coil pack in cylinder 6 wasn’t pushed in completely???
Anyone else any thoughts?

Coils packs not being pushed on can be the problem, but more likely the coil pack is failing and by refitting it you have 'cleaned up' the contact. I had the same issue and eventually the coil pack gave up, no fault codes but horrendously lumpy and not able to drive. I replaced the coil packs (did the plugs too) for just over £100 and an hour of my time. 6 years later the car is still running well.
