I’m looking for some advice , when I purchased my E86 it had previously had a rear accident and rear bumper replaced and in process the PDC module appears to be removed although car is still coded with PDC as going in reverse I get the annoying beep.
I spoke to audio installer who also does PDC he was advising best to get the factory PDC coded out and then install and 3rd party one and be much cheaper he was quoting £210 fitted for the 3rd party PDC.
He was saying not possible as my replacement bumper not oem as no Sensor holes and rattled off several reasons not able to fit 2nd hand and would need this and that and would all end up costing a fortune.
I’ve seen 2nd hand PDC modules on eBay like £20 and then colour coded rear sensors just under £35 each.
Looking advice on best thing to do, my car doesn’t have the housing for sensors it seems in bumper.
We was more looking for the DSP but says didn’t see PDC module.
If it is possible to buy 2nd hand and get PDC going what all do I need ?
I believe the PDC module should be on right hand side of photo ? If it was there can it be seen in photo ?
