E86 Owners tool kit recommendations

I’d like to add some useful tools to my garage for my E86 ownership.
From memory I have some Etorx spanner’s (pack of 5 Halfords professional).
What socket set is available that you guys recommend (mix of etorx sizes).
I have a 3/8 universal joint.
What ratchet extensions are recommended?
I have 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 ratchet drivers, a breaker bar etc.
I don’t want to be kitted out with everything but enough to do the more common jobs and the odd repair eg housing gaskets etc.

Thanks

First simple one that comes to mind is the tool to remove the oil filter cap. Or is it a socket fitting on the N52? Can never remember which is which.
And a dozen cans of Plusgas :D

1/4" E8 socket for the bolt under the valvetronic motor, long Etorx socket set would be handy every so often. 7mm allen for caliper slider pins.

Otherwise, no special tools needed and I've done a lot of work on N52s and Z4s generally.

Oh, I almost forgot the most important one. An extending magnet to fetch back all the bolts you drop..................... or maybe that's just me. :D

Thanks.
I have a long flexible magnet tool and the same with the little claw grab at the end.
I just bought the oil filter cap tool.
I have a trolley Jack and axle stands.
Got the 7mm hex tool from when I had my E90 so that’s sorted.
Sounds like some 1/4 and 1/2 e torx sockets and more extensions would be useful.
I have a torque wrench too.
I also have a fluid plunger for extracting and adding fluids eg gearbox.

Blow torch is useful but I haven’t yet bought one.

A battery pack impact driver is a significant investment but very useful. I have a Milwaukee right angled one which is brilliant.

If you want to change or top up the gearbox or diff oil you'll need a hex key for the drain and filler plugs - 17mm IIRC.

Agreed. Might get a Riyobi one as I have a drill to interchange batteries with.

Thanks. I have an Automatic but I guess the diff drain and refill might be good albeit difficult to access without getting the car up high enough.
