we know they have no taste. Bit like coupe drivers.

:nahnah:

Watch out roadies, winters coming, better get the car in hibernation, or at least get the tent waterproofed

Nah, us roadie drivers are hard barstewards, we like the wind in the hair feel (well some do) with the roof down on a cold clear day

to right firebobby ( heaters on full seats on number 3 windows up ) the joys of open top motoring

Until it starts to piss down! :P

I have heard that when the roof motor gets soaked the idea is to put it in the boot to keep it safe and dry. Does the same thing work for the driver?

There’s no heated seats in there, the fragile floppies would get cold :poke:

Nah, roadie owners are real men..and women, hard as nails. Coupri owners like to sit in their hatchbacks all snug and cosy, bit like when i'm in my Fiesta

I love my Z1 and Z3M Roadster, I also love the look of both Z3M and Z4M coupes.

I guess that puts me on the fence :driving:

You won't be laughing when the corrosion in your boot (common coupe issue) has made a hole and lets all that water in that forms at the bottom of the rear window when it rains :P

Food for thought

Laughing for now - BMW gave a 12 year warranty for rust!

But they don't seem to have been quite so generous with drowned roof motors. :P

And how old is your car?

Aside from the inevitable coupe vs. roadster prattle, I must say that as the owner of several vintage Jags, the quality of the wood dashes on the Z's isn't up to that standard. Having said that, I have no dog in that fight as my Z4MC has an all leather/carbon interior. :D

I,m a fence sitter on this subject, as I’ve had an E85 roadster an E89 and now an E86 3.0Si.
You can call me a tart, because I love them all. But I must admit the E 86 is my favourite, just on looks alone.BE379148-01E4-418F-8EE6-8EC9C21D510A.jpeg
