E86 MV2 Colour change?

I've got a titanium silver E86 and need to repaint the alloys. I like the bog standard silver but wondered if anyone had any pictures of a successful change to something slightly darker or multi-layered? (not candy green)

Probably a bit too much for most people but I love my red and black faded MV2's I got powder coated recently! Catches most peoples eyes when out on a drive, wether that's for better or worse who can say! haha

I suspect they look wild when moving! A bit too colourful for my tastes though!

They do look nice - I wasn't sure I'd like something with flake in it (other than a 99) but I should take a closer look, thanks!

I've seen some in Shadow Chrome that looked pretty good and would probably work well with Titanium Silver.

Here's a link to some photos:- https://www.bing.com/images/search?q=shadow+chrome+wheels+bmw&qpvt=shadow+chrome+wheels+bmw&form=IGRE&first=1&tsc=ImageBasicHover&scenario=ImageBasicHover

The only slight issue is as I understand it they use 2 coats, one of silver and one of black so the final look varies according to how much of each is used. Which means if you kerb one you probably won't get an identical finish!

Here's my titanium silver with its new gloss black MV2s (slightly less gloss as they had a lot of brake dust on them).

I personally think 19" wheels look better on the coupe and 18" on the roadster. But that is just my opinion. Its what you think that counts :)

Thanks for the pics guys. I had seen the naked shadow chrome rims before and they look spectacular but wanted to see them on a silver car in case they look flat or 'dirty' when on the car. Same with gun-metal grey rims that are advertised on ebay. As I said I am a fan of the stock wheel colour so will keep looking before I decide. Black is probably a step too far for me!

have a look at s1 alloys site they do some nice finishes including a lighter gunmetal finish as well as a dark one and will also alter it to suit for a bespoke finish

I have ‘Ghost Chrome’ on mine, which is slightly darker than Shadow Chrome...
