E86 mirror only goes up and down

OK, well the mirror pivots on a half sphere shaped housing. Within that there are three motors at 120 degree spacing from each other. If you remove the glass you can see the housing. It is held in with a screw in the middle from memory (obvious once you look at it).
Easy enough to pull it and fit a replacement.
Or you could simply swap the whole mirror. Easy to change your coloured casing over.

ahh typical I stuck the mirror glass on with god knows what as it did the old fall off trick so bought a new glass and possibly double sided taped it on but it’s very well onenuff_zed said:OK, well the mirror pivots on a half sphere shaped housing. Got some mirrors here we could cannibalise.
The glass you stuck on is attached to the heat pad. You need to remove the heatpad so you won't be disturbing your newly attached mirror.
There's a half hole just above the top of the mirror glass you can insert a small screwdriver into and then you slide it across to release the heatpad and glass together.
