E86 Fog DRL replacement

Has anyone attempted to replace the E86 fog lights with DRLs?

Something like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUPER-FLUX-DRL-DAYTIME-RUNNING-LIGHTS-HIGH-POWER-24-LEDS-E-APPROVED-ECE-R87-/271146664633?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Car+Make%3ABMW%7CModel%3AZ4&hash=item3f2199c2b9

But I mean a clean install, where it looks OEM and fills out the fog light space all the way.
My fogs are condensing and the chrome inside is flaking.
I know BMW do some OEM DRLs too.

Don't buy no-name crap. They will be dead by the next season (overheating in plastic housings, leaks, cheap SMDs). The sets to look out for are from Osram, Phillips or Hella. The BMW set is too cumbersome and made by Phillips anyway.

You can do it my way (an Osram set, advanced light-guide technology, requires buying and cutting plastic OEM covers):

Found your post in my searches, looks nice.
I wish the angles on the lights you've used were more diagonal so it matches the weird shape of the fog light (OCD to the max I know).
I am looking to perhaps get an Msport bumper (which is rarer than gold it seems) and then I'd just go for the round OEM lights.

Also what wheels do you have on your car in that post?

Yeah thanks to Corsaire's thread I did the conversion using the same Osram light@day DRL's. Really do look Oem. :D

What brand/model did you guys use by the way.
And possibly silly question, but does the whole bumper need to come off to get the fog lights out?
