E86 Coupe wax injection holes

Morning All

Having owned many rusty piles of crack from the fine car makes of England ,,,, including a 1964 MG 1100 and a Land Rover TD5 all of which where amazing like a iron oxide in its raw form :?
Now sold the MIG welder and rather keen on spending my weekends driving a nice car rather than bashing bits of tin over a range of holes or working out how the access holes for MOT checks :D
Looking at piles of chopped up Z4 body shells on e-Bay its looks as BMW did a fair job of rust proofing the cars from new , so the question is do I dust of the wax oil injection kit and crank up my compressor for a weekend of wax oil injection along with the underside of the car given a good spraying over

History of the car is / was stored in a undercover and appears little in the way of corrosion to fixing and parts underneath , however the car is now stored out side , will not be used on roads which have been salted or gritted, I have noted some minor surface rusting the rear axel trailing arm floor pocket which is going the get sorted , and the rear brake lines and just starting to show their age :!:
Long-term plan is the keep the car until I retire cir 15years weekend fun and trips to south of France being the reason for buying it , by this time the car will be 23 years old and hopefully in better condition than the bulk of the past cars I have owned :headbang:

So over to the more informed members for help and advice , PS I like getting down and dirty

Kind regards Mark

I'm in exactly the same boat.
12 yr old e85 garaged for most of its life and showing signs of surface corrosion.
I'll be using over the winter on salty roads probs so will be going for some under-sealing at some point.
A few more pressing issues need to be sorted first tho.
Crank that compressor up and let rip i say. Cant do any bad...

I wouldn't bother as BMW did a good job.
Zeds are up to 14 years old now and I've never seen a rusty one or one that failed or had any MOT advisory related to rust. I'm excluding brake pipes of course.

That said if you want to and know the product then I cannot see it harming if it's one for old cars that shine, doesn't harden, etc.
