E86 Coupe Sport Tyre Choice

There are plenty of tests including objective and subjective feedback that place the F1 near the top but PS4 beats it. Simples.

I prefer the PSS................the PS4S is a great tyre but the hype is even better

Woooooosh you're going into the lions den there mate  endless tyre debates over the years on here , always a good read :P

Wasn't even mentioning the PS4S to be honest.

For all round use there's no arguing the PS4S is an improvement over the PSS. However, as you say there are rumblings the PSS still has the edge in perfect conditions.

Personally, I found the AS3 lost some of the bite the AS2 had. It might be partly due to a narrower width for the same given tyre size as the rim protection is notably reduced.

At the end of the day I think if we go back to the original question we can agree, runflats off & fit a premium alternative

Love the banter and thanks all for your input.

I’m set on my tyre choice, my question to restart this thread was really:

Current fronts are to be replaced and have uneven wear, the inner is more worn on both front tyres and tyre place recommended tracking.

I just wondered, is this wear quite typical, and is tracking a worthwhile thing to get done?

Interesting read... And nice to see the PZ4 come out with the best wet and dry handling, and not too shabby in all other respects either.. I made a good choice :D :fuelfire: :fuelfire: :fuelfire: :fuelfire:
