E86 Coupe Jacking Points

Hi all,

I hope all is well.

I was wondering whether all E86 coupes from factory have the 4 rubber jacking points or whether these are an accessory to order as my coupe doesn't have any underneath ( I appreciate these may add extra weight, however the lack of mounts wouldn't add that much performance, would it?).

Thanks

They do occasionally fall out - one did, on my drive fortunately whilst washing it. They have a pronged attachment with a middle pin that splays the prongs to hold them in. Whilst I can't confess to having bought a new Z ever, I feel pretty safe in saying they all come with four of these hard plastic mounts - what mmm-five has shown will only work if you have the plastic mounts in the first place. You'll need to obtain four more by the sounds of it. There are on some models also central front and rear jacking points but unless your specifically wanting to raise the whole front/rear, for instance to put on axle stands to access the underside, I'd just accept that you just need four new ones.

They've either fallen out, been removed, or are just hiding.

Mine have 150,000 miles and 10 years on them, and they're still in place.

Stevo,

Many thanks for the detailed response and for the clarity.

Looks like 4 need to be ordered :(

Cheers

Cheers mmm-five and thanks for the link for the rubber adaptor.
