E86 Coupe Foglight removal

Was checking the front of the car where the fog lights are and looking at the screws you have to remove from the front.
Should they unscrew and come completely out the grill?
Both of mine are not directly in the line of sight. I can get a screwdriver in to turn them, but they don’t look like they will unscrew out of the hole.
Photos taken of both sides.
Zoom in and you’ll see what I mean.

You have to remove the front bumper and remove them from the rear. They are held on by 3 8mm hex head screws from memory.

The thing you are turning on the front adjusts the light level.

I presume you mean adjusts the level of the foglight?

I was sure I read it was held on with the three screws. Two from behind, one in the front. I guess I was wrong!!

Yeap the front screw you’re turning through the grill adjusts the level of the fog light.

There are two screws in the back. The third screws the fog light unit from the bottom.

Post from 2012 - No need to remove bumper - Only 2 bolts and a screw hold each lamp in place and the lamps are removed through the access panel in front of the front wheel.

Kneel in front of the car and feel the underside of the bumper’s front face just above the lamp and you will feel the lamp fixing screw going vertically upwards. The bolts are either end of the lamp at the rear through the access panel.

It can be done without removing the front wheels but it helps to have small hands.

You can just see the vertical screw at the extreme left of your first photo. New lamps will look great by the way!
