Saw this post on facebook, but know nothing else. Anybody's here?

I wonder how much weight this would save? What would it do to the performance?

There is a thread on Zpost.com about sixspeeds roof as well.

Z4 Coupe Full moonroof tops -In process http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=525116

Re the caption - can't see the point of getting a carbon fibre roof to save weight, yet leave the heavy/bulky OEM seats in place :idunno:

sixspeed did his roof and binned the seats in favour of lightweight units

Andy's car is still probably the best looking ///M Coupe out there, and in Alpine white to.

I think dubsesd's coupe gives it a run for its money. If he put the CSLs back on it..... perfect?

I'll give you that, dubsesd looked better on the previous wheels, weren't CSL's though i Thought.

I think he had CSLs after the 224s, but before his original Morr rims

He is as bad as Jonny

His coupe is unique though, and has a decent engine

would the audi 4.2 V8 not fit? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUDI-RS4-QUATTRO-4-2-V8FSI-420BHP-PETROL-MANUAL-2007-BNS-ENGINE-BREAKING-PARTS-/261528689841?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3ce4531cb1

seen a complete AND fully working one for £2k (the one posted is more expensive with broken sump and pulley)
might find one cheaper ... probably bit more troublesome to get it working and maybe better engine choices around but 420bhp

Let's try and keep this on topic please guys.

Might contact ML to try and find out price / weight saving and to see if you could make the CF roof removable. Best of both worlds then, better looks of the coupé and the roof off option too.

Good call. Please keep the thread updated. I trawled though the z post threads and it all seemed to have gone quiet. I think it is still possibly to get hold of the CF skin, but it didn't seem to show any updates about getting further with the removable option. They were also working on a clear polycarbonate roof also - which would be amazing.
