I'd like to see how my car looks with a pair of (ideally matt) black kidney grilles if anyone has a set going spare. Thought it was worth asking before I buy on ebay (any pointers there gratefully received!).

New grills are quite expensive, you could plasti-dip them? Goes on easy, peals off easy too

Thanks, tbh that hadn't even crossed my radar but I'll look into it. I do want to be able to return to standard if the fancy takes.

Agreed, plastidip for sure. Easy to do 3-4 coats and can be removed.
