The air intake deflector on my E86 has peeling powder coating and has gone rusty in a big way.

Looking on RealOEM the part number is 13717519243

However this is nothing like mine. Any thoughts?

Likewise if anyone has a clean one they want to sell then let me know as I cannot find one for sale anywhere.

It might help if you post a pic of the part you’ve got fitted?

The more that I have looked at it I don't think it is a genuine part as the two small screws that you can see screw directly into the plastic ducting and leave the three fixing holes out.

When fitted to the car the the front open section is behind the passenger side grill getting a direct flow of air into it, again making me think it is an aftermarket item.

It's not a BMW part. They were manufactured a few years ago by a forum member called Dan iirc. I have one fitted on my car. It was in much the same state as yours so I cleaned it up, gave it a coat of Hammerite and wrapped it in carbon effect vinyl. When I get a minute I'm going to copy it in alu sheet and make it an inch or two wider at the same time. I recently fitted some stainless mesh on mine as an extra precaution to prevent any debris getting through to the Ramair filter on my supercharger  20220402_183927.jpg

Thank you so much for that.
