E86 air bags.

Just putting it out there... Does anyone know if I can switch off the passenger air bag in the E86 coupe?

If you have that option, yes. Do you have the “airbag off” light on the opposite side of the console to the sport button (just forward and left of the gearstick)? If so, open the passenger door, the “airbag off” switch is round the corner of the dash from the air vent.

As Zedebee says it was an option that doesn't seem to have been taken up by many. All 3 of my E86s were registered in December 2006 and noe of them had it .

But I seem to remember someone saying BMW started fitting it as standard sometime in 2007.

If you have it you'll also have ISOFIX fittings on the passenger seat.
