Hi All,
I ordered some new ignition coils from GSF and put in my reg, only got a few options, all looked suitable.
Bear with me whilst I explain this but basically on the coil itself, just under the 3 pin plug there is a little vertical lug type thing which fits into the slot on the plug in the power strip. It is central on the plug and old coil and offset on the new coil.
First of all everything else ordered on my reg is fine so how are you supposed to tell if the coil is actually right or not before ordering? The fitment yea was right on all, one said N52B30, one was Delphi Only (?) and the other just said fitment year range.
Also does anyone know where is best to get new coils that are a match? Ie with the central lug.
Obviously I will phone GSF to find out whats going on.
Interstingly ISTA lists my engine as N52B30o0 (258hp) but I can't see that ratified anywhere else and I didn't think that engine code was fitted to the E86 :/
Gah!
