Hi all
Recently acquired a lovey Z4MR and looking to change the head unit to something that has a CD front loader but also ability to Bluetooth from a phone for music or the ability to connect via usb cable.

The unit I have at the moment is the type the that has the iPhone connection from factory which was probably ok back in the day but not entirely practical now.

I’d also like to keep the look as oem as possible.

Any suggestions / pointers?

The "Business CD" which has a cd loader came as one of the OEM stereo options. My Z4MC has it so you could get one of those.

With regards to music from your phone there are various dongles that can be plugged in to the back of the head unit which add bluetooth connectivity. You then switch the stereo input to aux and it will connect to your phone and can stream music from it. I think mine has this fitted. You disconnect the head unit from the car and fit this in between the 2 connections.

Business nav, very rare. I’ve only seen one of these before. Do you have a cd changer to go with it?

No unfortunately not, just the iPod which is why I was looking for something more versatile!

I have a few Business Stereo units available which you could change to

This one pictured is from a 2008 car
Has the CD

I had the Nav/ flip up screen and changed out for one of these units

Thank you.

Sounds promising as looking for a black one to match interior.

Do you know if these have any aux ports on the back for a Bluetooth adapter or usb cable?

The head unit @Umfaan suggests is the same one I have. If you use the adapter I linked to you should be able to plug the car wiring into it and it into the head unit and then you will have bluetooth connection when switching the stereo to aux input.

There are also connectors like this. I'm pretty sure I saw on here some instructions somewhere. As I recall there is a section on the back of the connector that plugs into the head unit which is empty and you can plug straight into it using one of these.
I'm not sure about combining the 2 solutions though.
