E85 Z4M Wouldn't start... tilt sensor...?

Hi All, I pulled the Z4 out of winter hibernation today, after having to jump start it.

It started pretty much first turn of the key, and drove absolutely fine on the 30 minute run I gave it. However, when I got home then went back out to the car, it wouldn't start. It turned over absolutely fine, so tried my spare key in case it was the EWS or key playing up, but still wouldn't start.

I plugged my code reader in and in the Body section, there was a fault code relating to the 'Alarm Tilt Sensor'. I'm pretty sure that's what it said... I should have taken a screen shot but in my haste I just cleared the code. (I'll have a look afterwards in case it reappears....)

I'm hoping this was just a gremlin after lying all winter and with low battery voltage, has anyone else experienced this at all...?

Given you've had a low battery I'd be suspecting that unless it comes back in the next few days personally.

I hope it is just one of those random issues thrown up after needing a jump start.

I've had it happen twice on my car when the battery was holding little charge. First time after a jump start I got the amber trifecta and needed to get them cleared at RBM, but last month the battery just managed to start it and I got 2 ambers. Took it for a good run then a few days later they didn't come back. :D

I’m now pretty sure it would have been the low battery voltage. I’ve taken the battery out and have stuck it on charge.
