E85 Z4 roof motor relocation Scotland

Hi Guys/Girls

I am new to the forum, I bought a 2003 e85 3.0 a few months ago. I purchased the car knowing there was an issue with the roof motor. I have heard there is someone called Dave in Durham who does the replace and relocating service. Does anyone know of someone in Scotland that offers a similar service? I am in Dundee.

I think the response most Scottish members get to this question is go to Durham Dave and enjoy the drive, though who knows when that’ll be??

There’s a company I’ve used a few times in Glasgow called Schonville Saab. I’ve not used them for a Z4 but I have used them for other soft tops (including non SAAB’s), they’ve replaced and repaired motors for me. As the name suggests they’re SAAB specialists but had a couple of BM techs employed the last time I used them.

Don’t know if they’d tackle this or the cost, they weren’t the cheapest, but the standard of work was always 1st class. Might be worth a phone call.
