E85 Z4 Battery Problems

Hi!

After having the car parked for a couple of weeks I'm struggling to get anything to power up. I've changed the battery in one of the keys but this isn't working but I was hoping someone could suggest how I could check if the car battery is to blame?

I hoped the hazards would work without the key but they don't so I'm a bit stuck.

If anyone has any suggestions I would be very grateful

No offence but you're not explaining the problem very clearly.

What exactly is it you're trying to 'power up'? The car's ignition system or the ancillaries?
Or are you having issues with the key's battery?

Sorry,

I'm trying to identify if the cars battery is dead or the keys battery is dead. I get no lights at all when I turn the key and the key doesn't unlock the doors.

You haven't said whether you have successfully charged the car's battery yet. What voltage is the car battery sitting at?

If the hazards aren’t even working as you say then your car battery is toast.

Concur with all above.
It sounds like your car’s battery If you’ve managed to manually unlock it and the ancillaries aren’t even energising.
Get it charged up or if it’s past it’s prime get a new-un.
