I do own a business, but am not a 'car trader'. This is my personal Z4.
However, I can fully understand if this advert needs to be deleted.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any concerns or questions regarding rules and posting etc.
Thanks for reading.

MEMBERS:
I appreciate this comes across as a trade sell, so more than happy to delete this (for fairness) if you guys think I'm pushing my luck.
I have also emailed sp3ctre to ask his take on this advert, and whether it's also fairer if we change my username to Redish, going forward.

This Z4 was supplied by Sytner Harold Wood (Dealer No. 10055) and had it's Pre Delivery Inspection carried out on 8th June 2004.
The 1st owner (who ordered the Z4) was Mr/Mrs Harris of Countrywide Steel And Tubes Ltd, and registered the Z4 on 9th June 2004.

28th September 2005 saw owner 2 (Mr Wynn of Essex) purchase the Z4 as an Approved Used Car from BMW Dealer; Sytner Harold Wood.
The registration was FC04 HHY.

Possibly around September 2006 owner 3 (Mr Plescia of Surrey) purchased the Z4.
The registration was FC04 HHY.

28th March 2009 saw owner 4 (Mr Couson of Gloucester) purchase the Z4.
The registration was FC04 HHY.

23rd July 2011 saw owner 5 (my friend, Mr Woodgate of Taunton) purchase the Z4.
The registration was JAY 61V.

9th April 2016 saw owner 6 (myself, Mr James of Bristol) purchase the Z4.
The registration is FC04 HHY.

Condition:
This Z4 3.0 Roadster is in good condition for it's year of 2004 (12 years old).
When I first saw this Z4 in 2011 (owned by my friend, Mr Woodgate) I could see that the body and exterior paint work, and roof, and interior, and even engine condition confirmed it had been well cared for.
I would imagine it's spent many of it's years in a garaged condition away from the weather.
Now in 2016, you can see it's been enjoyed, and the odd wear and tear present is typical of most Z4's, and quite acceptable for it's age and mileage of 90,000.

I am a BMW Car Club member, and have been since 2004. I appreciate original looking and functioning BMW models. So you can rest assured you will be talking and dealing with an enthusiastic owner who is passionate about the BMW brand. I also own other BMW models, and therefore if you are a BMW fan, hopefully you'll feel comfortable dealing with me and talking all things BMW.

Roof:
The convertible fabric roof is in excellent condition, as is the rear window.
The roof operation is factory built fully automatic (option 399), which means 100% of it's operation is electric.
The roof motor is fully working, and 1 operation to put the roof away is less than 20 seconds, for example.
Roof drains have been checked and are clear at the bottom, underneath the car. A long tube has been passed through both of them and compressed air blown to make sure they are as clear as possible.

edit 13-06-16 @ 16:00
Roof Motor:
Unbelievably the Roof Motor has just stopped working for some reason.
So I'm not messing about with it, and will rectify the issue with a brand new BMW item this week. The repair is likely to cost me around £800 with Genuine BMW Parts, and Labour.
Due to this being a fairly common Z4 issue, and now a decent selling bonus, I have decided to ask for slightly more money to reflect this c.£800 investment this week.
I am being totally open and honest, and now the asking price will be £4600 (a £400 increment over the original asking price of £4200).
I will provide a picture and invoice, to validate this situation, and rectification, and proof of a guaranteed new Genuine BMW Roof part(s).

Front Bumper:
The front bumper has stone rash on the lower edge - especially to the driver side. As well as a scuff on the right front corner.
If it bothers you, or you plan to bring the car to a higher standard, then £200 would see a very good re-paint at a trusted bodyshop.

Electric & Heated Front Seats:
This Z4 has the added benefit of Electric Front Seats, then additionally, Front Seat Heating, which to my knowledge is still working fine.

Air Conditioning:
It has factory fitted Air Conditioning, which is operated via the digital controls on the Centre Dash.

Leather Seats:
As with most BMW models, there is slight wear to the Drivers Seat Bolster (from getting in and out), but not ripped and certainly not beyond repair.
A leather upholstery specialist would probably charge around £120 to improve this, or quality DIY kits from places like Furniture Clinic can be purchased for around £40:
http://www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/Lea...ourant_Kit.php

Paint:
I haven't found any corrosion on the Z4. Or certainly nothing that's jumped out at me.
The paint condition in general is good. There are swirl marks in the lacquer (like 99% of cars on the road), which can be professionally removed by a detailer. This is a more popular and common process for us enthusiasts to have done now a days. A professional detail would do wonders for this Z4 and only enhance the Black Sapphire colour even more.
There is a poorly touched up scratch on the lower edge of the passenger side door. This can be seen in the third from last picture.
There is also paint chips to the drivers door rear edge where the door has rubbed against something when opening it I'd imagine. Nothing dramatic, but worth mentioning.
If I was keeping the Z4, I would have this scratch (passenger side door) repainted which would be in the region of £300 for a respected bodyshop to carry this out.
Best thing to do is come and have a look for yourself.

Maintenance & Service records:
I'm pleased to say the Z4 has Full Service History, which can be confirmed by 6 stamps in the Service Book (detailed below):

14/07/06 - Oil Service - 14667
23/03/09 - Inspection 1 - 29289
06/01/10 - Inspection 2, Front & Rear Brake Pads - 46441
30/06/11 - Inspection 1, Rear Coil Springs - 63576
05/08/13 - Inspection 2 - 79502
08/06/16 - Inspection 2 - 89982

The most recent being the large BMW Inspection 2 Service just carried out this month (8th June 2016) at BMW Specialist Redish Automotive in Bristol.

It's has some Invoices and documents in the Book Pack showing BMW Dealer service sheets, and some old MOT's for example.

As the Service Book confirms, it's had 6 services over the 90000 miles, and on multiple occasions has been 'over-serviced' by having Inspection Services when it only required Oil Services - which is only a good thing.
It's also had recent Coolant (Antifreeze) change, as well as Brake Fluid change this year (2016) too.

The original Book Pack is present (Black folder) with Owners Handbook, Radio Operating Instructions, as well as BMW Approved Used booklets explaining BMW Warranty, MOT cover, Emergency Service, Financial Service, Change of Ownership, Preparation Charter documents.

Current Certificates:
The car is MOT'd until 21st July 2016 but I will make sure it has a new MOT this month.
All being well it will have a fresh MOT certificate ready for the new owner.

The V5 is present and in order ready to be signed over to the new owner.

I have obtained the BMW Specification Sheet which details this Z4's credentials including confirmation of chassis no, engine no, production dates, and option list from factory build.
These documents are now in the car's history folder ready for the new owner to enjoy.

Reason for sale:
Since owning the Z4 in February I have to date driven the car less than 100 miles.
My aim was to keep this Z4 and enjoy it as a fun car for this summer.
It was going to be a car I could just 'sit on' on due to the Z4 market prices holding fairly steadily and only seeming to slowly creep up over the past year.
Now, a side extension later this year means this Z4 is loosing it's parking space and ultimately I need to let it go to a good home whilst the weather is nice so it can be enjoyed this year.
It will be a shame to see it go to a new home as I'm quite fond of the design and shape of this Z4 model.

Conclusion:
This Z4 is an original example which will be admired for many years by many people.
Neutral colour combo (black on black) appeals to both genders, and many age groups. A pleasure to drive, comfortable cruiser which would be great for long road trips to the continent, and has adequate boot space too.
Straight forward mechanical design utilising the renowned M54 3.0 engine which proved so popular in the 3,5, & 7 series BMW's, and a strong 6-speed manual gearbox.
Along with excellent suspension design taken from the E46 3-series BMW means it's easy to maintain by most garages, or even yourself, as it's not an over complicated model.
It's a well built chassis by BMW, and has been reliable and fun to own in my ownership, and my friend's (the previous owner) 5 year ownership.

Now you've read all this advert, the next step is to pick up the phone and arrange a viewing.

Please let me know if you have any questions, or would like to view the Z4.

Cash only upon purchase, strictly on a first come first served basis.

No groups larger than 2 people.

Test drives will be driven by myself, unless the full money is handed in cash as a deposit, and fully comprehensive insurance is shown, along with a picture taken of your photo driving licence.

I will consider part exchange either way. Only interested in BMW M models. Are you looking to upgrade, or downsize? Cash either way. Call me and let's chat.

& the "only used for 100 miles " " selling to complete building works " yet happy to consider PX for a ///M
its a advert littered with annoyances & doubt any prospective buyer would have enough interest left by the end to actually "pick up the phone & ring "
Not short of info but onbe of the worst adverts ive seen on this forum :(

I'd not even noticed that bit..... :!:

To be fair redish have a very good reputation in the north west uk.

And the 3 year service is actually 2 years and 8 months so 8 months overdue, not great but hardly something that matters 8 years later if the car is running fine

This isn't a concourse 20 grand m were talking about haha :D

However considering you own redish I would cut the crap about labour on the roof motor lol.... As you get parts at trade and labour for free

2 years 8 months, 2 years 2 months and 2 years 10 months.... If it was one slip up then fine but three on an overly generous schedule I ain't accepting that as fsh

Actually having re read the advert it's clearly a trade advert

The guy also contradicts himself saying he bought it in February but earlier on he says he bought it in April

And yeah saying it's over serviced is a bit of a joke looking at those dates
