E85 Z4 3.0 Manual

Hi forum,

With a 5 month old baby the time has come to part ways with the Zed. It’s a manual 3.0 E85 in Sterling Grey on 107’s with red leather electric memory heated seats. It’s covered 125k miles.

Appreciate it’s likely a poor time to sell but hoping I can entice one of you to take it on, give it the time it requires and really appreciate the car - it’s been great fun.

Work in the last couple years includes -

Replaced DISA valve
Reconditioned and relocated roof motor to boot
New battery
New starter motor
4 as new Goodyear Eagle F1’s
4 wheel laser alignment
New front pads
New rear pads and discs
Nearside Rear Brake pipe fabricated and replaced
Genuine ZHP gearknob

Bad bits -

Intermittent airbag light (satellite B pillar) - I have a C110 reader which resets it but it does come back. Reader will go with the car. Just haven’t got to sorting this.

MOT due in Jan - last time out it had advisories for corroded brake pipes/hoses but this is pretty common and as above did have one replacement already.

Stereo works intermittently. It’s an aftermarket head unit and seems to want the fuse replacing to keep it going - again, haven’t got around to sorting this as I never really wanted to use it.

One small hole in drivers bolster

I’ll list this in the ‘bad’ bits but subjective I suppose - it has the largely grey interior which I suspect is a little marmite.

The grey and silver plastics do have scratches and wear.

General stone chips and scratches but for a 17 year old car I would say it’s in good shape.

Ive been meaning to replace the door membranes (likely linked to the Airbag light) but again haven’t got to it.

Ultimately, the car has a lot going for it but could do with someone willing to do a bit of DIY over a weekend or two to get it tip top.

I’m after a family wagon and need to return to my office soon so will shift this off to WBAC or equivalent if no takers here.

Thanks! Plenty of sleepless nights so far - when do they end?! Honestly, I just want another member to enjoy it and get her to her best. If the price gets a quick bite then great I ordered a Tiguan R-Line back in July but I’m hearing it’s not getting built until March next year now and I can’t keep the Zed until then. I didn’t know to look for a Zed with the airbag switch and ISOFIX three years ago

It is. Am talking with a number of members now but no agreements in place just yet.

Had a few questions with regard the airbag light. I’ve just gone and tested it with the C110+ and the code clears but immediately comes back. I have included the fault codes logged in the images below.

How intermittent it the airbag light fault?
Does it come on daily / weekly?
Just assessing the next MOT.

It comes back on straight away so will need sorting. Plenty of room at the price of the car to get it done IMO but as mentioned price is negotiable. I don’t think it’s a huge job FWIW. Plenty of threads on it I believe as it’s not hugely uncommon

None of my business, but personally I think it's a steal and wouldn't negotiate on price in your shoes!
