E85 Z4 2003 2.5i Original Battery Specification

Right, does anyone know where I can find the original specification for the battery on my car. I am looking to replace the dead one I have but I dont believe I need to spend anywhere near the £145 for its direct replacement. Its currently a Yuasa AGM096 and I just want a decent replacement that wont cause any problems.

Any suggestions guys?
 
I just put a halfords one in my daily drive ...4 year guarantee...£85 ( actually came to £72 with a halfords trade card), there were cheaper options too but i went for the longer guarantee, no problems so far

Cheers Mr Tourette, I cant decide which way to go with this one. I just looked through the paperwork to find that the previous owner had this battery installed almost 4 years ago (and paid the garage £180!). WOW cant understand why it needed such a battery?!?!!?
 
yeah...no need to use oem batteries imho, the halfords one is a quality item imho and if anything goes wrong in 4 years its a simple return and replace job, no brainer for me :thumbsup:
 
I replaced my original (2004) battery last year. The local indie did me one for about £50 and it is fine. Car is rarely used but sits on a trickle charger in garage. The OEM must be a good battery as mine lasted 11 years to be fair but just can't see it being necessary when our cars run so little in the way of technology.
 
You don't need an AGM battery so can save at least half, I got a Varta E44 for about £60 delivered online.
